Opened in 1981, The Mills Godwin Life Sciences Building is home to Psychology and Biology here on campus. Named after Mills Godwin, two-time Governor and Old Dominion supporter, this building houses our largest lecture hall on campus which seats around 200 students. Many ODU students chose to Major or Minor in psychology which leads to research opportunities and research assistant positions.
ODU is always looking for ways to expand campus, an exciting change coming to campus is our new Biology building. It will be a 162,851 square foot building to support education in Biomedicine, Environmental, Ecology, Biomolecular, and Botanical Sciences, currently expected to be completed around 2026.
