Chartway Arena at the Ted Constant Convocation Center is along Hampton Blvd. Opened in 2002, Chartway Arena was the first building to open in the University Village on Monarch Way.
Home to the Men’s and Women’s Monarch Basketball teams, Chartway arena hosts all home games along with other events such as UFC Fight Night, the Harlem Globetrotters, and performers such as Elton John, Tyler Perry, Migos, and so many more.
Chartway Arena is also where ODU students start and end their college journey. First-year students take part in Orientation over the summer and Convocation during their first week on campus. Then, Seniors complete their journey once they cross the stage either in December or May. Click here to listen now.
