The Barry Art Museum, opened in 2018, is free to all visitors, reflecting its commitment to inclusivity and community engagement. The museum's striking glass wall welcomes everyone to explore its collections, which include renowned glass sculptures by international artists.
This focus on glass art, along with a collaborative degree program with the Chrysler Museum, has solidified the university's and the region's reputation as a hub for this unique art form.
Beyond its exhibits, the Barry Art Museum offers internship opportunities and regularly updates its displays, providing a dynamic environment for students and the public. As the university's "arts village," the museum contributes to Norfolk's growing cultural scene, making it a valuable destination for both the campus community and the broader city.
