The Laulima Building houses the University Center which enables students to takes classes or even get a degree from another UH campus. Students and the community can also take non-credit courses through EdVenture and other great off campus resources to get involved in the community!

🛠 Apprenticeship Program Classrooms
UHMC Extended Learning offers continuing education courses throughout the year. Courses included union apprenticeship programs that integrate systematic on-the-job training, guided by an experienced master-level practitioner in an occupation, with classroom instruction.

CareerLink offers various services such as providing announcements about available jobs to helping students create cover letters and resumes. We also provide current students and alumni help in job preparation and internships.

Our goal is to address Maui County workforce training needs, community job placement demands, international engagement opportunities, diversified agriculture and food entrepreneurship opportunities, and continue providing broader access to higher education through the University Center.

We are a local program, funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014, serving Maui County. We expand education and training options to help our participants access jobs and advance their career. Best of all, we make a program that fits our participants' specific needs.
💬 Maui Language Institute (MLI)
Maui Language Institute (MLI) is an English as a Second Language (ESL) program located on the beautiful island of Maui on the University of Hawaii Maui College (UHMC).
International students of all backgrounds are provided English language instruction of the highest quality from certified and experienced ESL instructors. MLI offers an array of unique English learning opportunities including intensive 8 week courses for adults, customized training for groups, and private instruction. MLI has an open enrollment policy for Non-F1 students. They may enter the session at any time. F1 Visa students are required to enter the program on the first day of the session.
