The Ike Le'a Building
The Ike Le'a Building is the newest addition to the campus. Here you can find general classrooms as well as dedicated science classrooms and labs. This facility is designed as an educational tool in itself to teach students about sustainability through design. Features such as energy conversion, daylighting, energy efficient HVAC and lighting systems, green roofs, site orientation and recycling are incorporated into the building’s design. Photovoltaic panels and vertical axis wind micro-turbines generate a portion of the building’s electrical demand, thereby reducing operating costs and lowering the building’s carbon footprint. The building received a LEED Gold certification and incorporated LABS 21 requirements.

🔬 Microscope Lab
The Science Laboratory Technician program prepares students with the skills and training to work independently in a laboratory setting and acquire entry-level laboratory technician positions. Student will gain knowledge of general laboratory techniques, learn how to operate laboratory equipment for nutrients and microbiology analyses, collect, prepare and analyze samples, as well as record, report and interpret data. This program will focus on laboratory training as it relates to environmental science, water quality and biotechnology.
