Summerall Chapel
Named for Gen. Charles P. Summerall, this non-denominational chapel was built in 1936. Currently, Summerall Chapel provides spiritual resources to cadets and allows the community to use the space for weddings and funerals.

🎶 The Citadel Gospel Choir
Music is a significant part of worship at Summerall Chapel, and they are delighted to host and support many choirs who offer the beauty of music and fellowship to our students. During their time at The Citadel, cadets are invited to participate in the Gospel Choir. The Gospel Choir practices a few times each week, and can be heard singing not only on campus, but around the Charleston area as well. No prior experience is required to join the Gospel Choir, just a passion for singing and interest in joining a close-knit community!
⭐ Religious Services
Religious activities and ministries are overseen and directed by Rev. Dr. Joe Molina, full-time Chaplain to the Corps of Cadets. Seventeen chartered religious clubs operate on campus, funded by various nationally-sponsored faith groups. These groups provide several options for cadets who wish to participate, including weekend retreats, service outreach, and weekly meetings. Protestant, Catholic, and Episcopal/Anglican services are held on campus; other faith groups meet with a minister or advisor on Monday or Thursday evenings. The chapel also offers transportation via shuttle for Muslim and Jewish cadets who wish to attend services on Friday evenings.
Regimental and Battalion Religious Officers ensure all cadets are free to participate in religious activities and work closely with the Chaplain to facilitate campus ministry opportunities.
