Home of the nationally recognized Student Success Center (formerly the Academic Support Center) as well as the Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences and the Department of Mathematical Sciences. The Multicultural Student Services Department is also located in Thompson Hall. The Student Success Center employs full-time staff members, part-time professional tutors, graduate assistants, and undergraduate students. It offers Academic Coaching, Athletic Academic Services, a Mathematics Lab, Supplemental Instruction (SI), and the Writing Lab. Services for Students with Disabilities assists students with documentation of academic problems and provides connections to psychologists as well as working with the faculty, staff, and administration to ensure students with disabilities can receive any assistance they may require.

Multicultural Student Services Department
The Multicultural Student Services Department is located on the first floor of Thompson Hall. Their role involves assisting minority and international students on campus, starting and maintaining various diversity initiatives, and implementing campus programs that celebrate diversity. Recently implemented initiatives include a new mentoring program for minority students. These students are paired with minority alumni who volunteer their time to provide additional support during freshman year and beyond.
🖥 Cyber Range
If you are looking for opportunities to practice your cyber skills, look no further than the cyber range. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the cyber range provides cadets the ability to train for cyber competitions and prepare for their careers after the Citadel. In the cyber range, cadets can practice capture the flag (CTF)-type games, and coordinate responses to cyberattack simulations.
⌨️ Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences
The Department of Cyber and Computer Sciences offers the B.S. in Computer Science, the B.S. in Cyber Operations, the M.S. in Computer and Information Sciences (jointly with the College of Charleston) and graduate certificates in cybersecurity, information systems, and software engineering; and undergraduate minors in computer programming, data science, cybersecurity, and cyber interdisciplinary studies.
The department has six tenure-track faculty positions plus several talented adjunct faculty members. We are proud to have had a 100% scholarship acceptance rating of the Department of Defense STEM scholarship.

With twelve bachelor’s and four master’s degrees, as well as a variety of degree focus areas (concentrations), the Swain Family School of Science and Mathematics offer a broad range of programs across science and mathematics that provide you the foundation for high-paying and highly desirable careers in STEM, nursing and medicine, business, law, or further graduate study.
