Ripich Commons
The Ripich Commons is the hub of campus and has three floors for student life, from pool tables and dining facilities, to study spaces and academic services. This eco-friendly building also reflects UNE’s commitment to sustainability and features bird-safe glass, regionally sourced materials, a living plant wall, and solar panels.

UNE offers a variety of study abroad opportunities, from semester abroad experiences to travel courses.
In the Ripich Commons, you'll also find our Global Education Office. At UNE, you’re guaranteed the opportunity study abroad — even if you’re majoring in a health profession. In fact, our students study abroad at 5X the national average.
The global opportunities are endless here. We have the only dedicated campus for a US-based university in Tangier, Morocco. Beyond our campus in Morocco, you can study at our partner institutions in Spain, France or Iceland. You can also take a faculty-led travel course like studying tropical rainforests in Costa Rica, comparing human anatomy to the art of the Renaissance masters in Italy and Greece, or working with community-based conservation researchers in Kenya.

The Ripich Commons has an entire floor dedicated to student support services. This is where you’ll go for advising, student and professional tutors, and internship and career support. These are important resources that most students take advantage of. In fact, more than 90% of our students participate in credit-bearing activities, such as clinical rotations, fieldwork and internships.
Student Academic Success Center
The Student Academic Success Center's (SASC) helps you develop and maintain the skills you need to meet the challenges of undergraduate and graduate academic demands. The SASC offers a variety of services including tutoring, writing support, learning specialist consultations, group workshops, and courses.
In 2018, the SASC was awarded a level three International TUTOR training Program Certification from the College Reading and Learning Association. The center has been CRLA certified continuously since 1993. CRLA certification provides recognition and positive reinforcement for tutors' successful work from an international organization and sets an internationally accepted standard of skills and training for tutors.

Academic Advising
Academic Advising utilizes a personalized holistic advising approach to assist you as you explore, develop, and implement educational and career goals. With ongoing partnerships with faculty and professional staff throughout the university, you will be supported as soon as you set foot on campus. Your advisor will assist you in various points throughout each academic year, such as to help you register for classes, discuss academic progress, find out more about a particular major or minor, discuss graduate and professional options, and more.

Our Career Advising team seeks to empower you with the knowledge and skills to secure the best employment opportunities available in your field, while giving you the strongest tools in marketing your abilities to employers.
