🏥 Health Professions Programs
UNE offers a variety of renowned health professions programs.
Academics
UNE is Maine’s #1 provider of health care professionals, and an international leader in interprofessional, team-based training. As one of tomorrow’s doctors or nurses, dentists, social workers, athletic trainers, occupational or physical therapists, you’ll be learning and practicing in state-of-the-art labs and facilities with faculty who are leaders in their fields.
🥼 Interprofessional Education
At UNE, we are committed to interprofessional academic and community-based programming to transform education in health care and other fields. We prepare future and practicing professionals with the knowledge, values, and skills needed to participate as members and leaders of dynamic collaborative clinical and community teams. Students representing the full range of health professions programs work with one another through collaborative activities that include team-based case conferences, interprofessional simulations, co-conducted research, and more.
Through this work, students from UNE's various health professions programs come to better understand the roles of other members of the health care team and develop skills to work more effectively to improve quality, safe, responsive, and patient-centered care.
