Commitment to both a healthy mind and a healthy body is a core piece of the UNE culture, and the Campus Center is the place to be when you’re ready to sweat or swim. It houses a gym, fitness center, six-lane pool, track, racquetball court, locker rooms, and saunas. You can also find our Bookstore here, where you can stock up on books and t-shirts.

The Office of Intercultural Student Engagement promotes a welcoming and inclusive campus environment.

The Office of Intercultural Student Engagement supports the leadership development, social experiences and academic persistence of all students, with an emphasis on those from traditionally under-represented groups on campus. This includes students of color, LGBTQ+ students, international students, and students practicing or exploring spirituality.
There are several UNE clubs and organizations that celebrate the diverse populations of our community, including the Black Student Union, The Alliance, Muslim Students' Association, and more.

🌲 Outdoor Recreation
Adventure awaits at UNE! Students here are active. Maine is a beautiful place, and we take advantage of it all year long. We have our own beach, docks to launch your boat, 363 acres of woods and trails, and Maine’s mountains for climbing and skiing. You can opt to bring your own gear, or rent it in our Campus Center.

Get Involved
Students here get involved on campus, and there is no shortage of clubs or organizations for you join. From cultural and affinity groups to service and academic groups, if you’re interested in it, there’s a good chance we have a club for it. Or it’s super easy to start one. You can also volunteer in the local community. UNE students give back by volunteering at soup kitchens, organizing donation drives, cleaning up local beaches and much more.
