WES Residence Halls

West, East, and Skandera residence halls (WES) house sophomores, juniors and seniors at Pitzer. Very similar to PAS (Pitzer, Atherton, Sanborn), WES also has many communal spaces, study rooms, living rooms, and outdoor quads, as well as suites of 4. Unlike PAS, some of these suites are singles!

Residence Life Staff

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Residence Life Staff

Res life is an important aspect of living at Pitzer, and so are the staff that make up the res life office! With Res Life Staff, Community Assistants/Resident Assistants, and Residential Programming, there is always someone to address your res life needs.

Residence Directors

Residence Directors (RDs) are full-time live-in professional staff members. They are responsible for the overall operation of residence halls and supervision of the RAs. RDs are available for individual and group counseling and mediation on personal, academic, and social issues. The RDs are visible and accessible, maintain strong campus presence, serve as advocates for students and work closely with students and staff to help establish a positive residential community. Be sure to get to know your RD.

Resident Assistants

Resident Assistants (RAs) are friendly, helpful students who live in the residence halls and who respect and care about the rights and dignity of all people, who challenge and support growth in themselves and others, and who strive to create a welcoming, positive living and learning environment for all residents. RAs are chosen because they have shown skill in time management, flexibility, patience, strong ability to communicate, a sense of humor and the enthusiasm for assisting others. They serve as information resources about the residence halls and campus life.

Residential Programming

Every RA is in charge of planning programming for their residents and the dorms at large, insuring that there are different fun, substance free events throughout the semester for all students! From study groups to baking to gaming, these events are diverse enough that every student can find something that interests them!
