Office of Admission

The Office of Admission is the hub for campus visit programs, the workspace for our admission counselors and operations team, and is one of the first buildings you'd encounter upon arriving to campus. Located on the office walls are Pitzer's five core values which are recurring themes through the tour!

Admission

📬 Admission

Admission is an integral office at Pitzer, not just for enrolling students, but by shaping the Pitzer community through a holisitic admission process!

Admitted Student Profile

Students admitted to the Class of 2024 hail from 41 states and 33 countries. 46% identify as domestic students of color, 10.2% are international students, 10.8% are first-generation to college, comprised of 37.4% men, 57.5% women, and 2.7% another gender. 42.8% of students are from California and 57.1% are from out of state. The overall admit rate for the class was 15.9%, with an average GPA of 3.98.

Test-Optional Policy

Pitzer has been SAT/ACT test-optional since 2003. Each year, approximately 44% of students do not submit testing.

Demonstrated Interest

Pitzer considers demonstrated interest in the admission process. We offer virtual tours and information sessions, prospective student interviews, drop-in sessions with current students, open house events, and more. There is also a chance one of our admission counselors will visit your high school in the fall. Apart from all of this, we recommend reaching out to your territory manager via email with any and all questions about Pitzer.

Financial Aid

Pitzer meets 100% of demonstrated need in the admission process through mostly need-based grants. Applicants must submit the FAFSA (ISFAA for international students) and the CSS Profile to be considered for financial aid, and all deadlines correspond with the respective admission round. All students are eligible for financial aid.

Territory Managers

Each counselor in Pitzer's office is assigned to geographic territories and is in charge of reading applications from those regions. Visit our website pitzer.edu/admission to find your territory manager, and feel free to reach out and say hi!
