Penn’s Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center
The Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender (LGBT) Center, one of the oldest and most active programs of its kind in the country, enriches the experience, fosters the success, affirms the existence, and celebrates the victories of Penn’s queer students, faculty, staff, alumni, and their allies. The Center works to increase the general Penn community’s awareness, understanding, and acceptance of its sexual and gender minority members in several ways: through outreach and education, supportive services for individuals and campus organizations, event and conference programming, and inclusive University policies and practices. Students are welcome to gather, study, and relax in their space–and throughout the year, they host game nights, workshops, and Queer Prom.

💕 Building Community at the LGBT Center Looks Like…
Stopping in for Community Events
The Center hosts special events and workshops–like free, professional, gender-affirming headshot sessions by a Philly photographer for the wider Non-Binary/Gender/Nonconforming/Trans/Non-Cis community.
Learning from Campus Partners
The Center works with campus partners to bring additional resources to their space. Twice a month, the Center hosts “Restorative Practices @ Penn” to help students learn about what Restorative Justice look like at Penn. These office hours promote healing, accountability, and community building.
Taking a Moment for Self-Care
The Center hosts “Study Break Snooze,” a time when their vibrant lounge serves as a place of rest and quiet. This initiative was created by their Mental Health & Neurodivergence Committee.
