Meyer Green is a popular spot for students to soak up the sun between classes, study, enjoy items from the popular adjacent cafe, or catch up with friends. This open, landscaped bowl provides a perfect venue for performances.
Until 2015, it was the site of the four-story Meyer Library, but the cleared axis now serves as a thoroughfare to and from east campus. Surrounding Meyer Green are Green Library, the Graduate School of Education, the School of Law, and Sweet Hall, which houses the Bing Overseas Studies Program.

Advising
Stanford’s endless advising resources are available to students even earlier than day one! Stanford welcomes, guides, and supports all students in all fields at all stages of their academic journey. Newly admitted students start with “Approaching Stanford'' during the summer before they begin. Upon arrival, you’ll experience New Student Orientation, meet your Stanford Newcomer Guide, and have the chance to experience Frosh/Transfer 101. The residential experience provides "always there" help from Neighborhood Advising Directors as well as invaluable peer advising from upper-class residential staff until you’re ready to select your major advisor. Specialized programs and advising are also available for pre-professional tracks, for student athletes, and for those needing additional or specialized preparation prior to starting at Stanford.
🏫 Graduate Schools
Stanford’s schools of Business, Education, Law, and Medicine offer only graduate degrees, though many courses, facilities, and opportunities are available to undergraduates. The Knight-Hennessy Scholars fellowship program features an exceptional cohort of graduate students from around the world and from all disciplines with a goal to cultivate leaders to develop creative solutions to effect positive change in the world.

Stanford Law School (SLS)
SLS accepted its first students in 1893 and was a founding member of the Association of American Law Schools. Today, SLS offers the J.D. degree program in addition to advanced degree programs which are open to students with a primary law degree earned outside the United States — the Master of Laws (LL.M.), Master of the Science of Law (J.S.M.) and Doctor of the Science of Law (J.S.D.).
