The Administration Building is one of the main academic buildings on campus. It also houses administrative offices such as the Office of the President, Student Life, Registrar, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Enrollment/Admissions, and the Adawe LifePlan Center.

⭐ Office of Admissions

Located on the second floor of the Administration building. The Office of Admissions provides students with assistance through the application process, provides tours of campus, and assists students in figuring out if Ottawa is right for them!

Additionally, Ottawa University employs a family financial planner to ensure students have an understanding of financial aid and to support students as they navigate paying for college!

First Year/Freshman Admissions

Ottawa University requires students to have 2 of 3 the following for admission:
2.5 GPA
19 ACT
Top half of graduating class

If a student does not meet these requirements, the student may be asked to provide additional documentation to support their application for admission.

Transfer Admissions

Ottawa University accepts transfer credits from all regionally accredited institutions. For acceptance, the Office of Admissions requires a minimum transfer GPA of 2.0.

Financial Aid

The Office of Admissions provides students assistance through the financial aid process. From questions surrounding the FAFSA to planning how to pay for college, the Family Financial Planner within the Admissions Office is a resource available to provide support to prospective students. ⭐ Office of Financial Aid

The Office of Financial Aid is located on the second floor of the administration building. The Office of Financial Aid assists students with the financial aid process which includes all things FAFSA and scholarships (institutionally and externally).

⭐ Counseling Center

Located on the first floor of the administration building, the Counseling Center provides direct clinical services (i.e., individual consultation and therapy appointments, skill-building workshops, emergency services) to fully enrolled, matriculating residential students of Ottawa University (KS).

⭐ Office of Student Life

The Office of Student Life is located on the second floor of the administration building.

The Office of Student Life coordinates student housing, student activities, dining, etc.

Greek Life

Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) creates several opportunities for students to experience personal growth, progress as leaders, and develop lifelong friendships. Fraternity and Sorority life encourages diversity, creates community partnerships and propels our students into a life of significance.

Housing

Ottawa University has numerous housing options from traditional, suite-style, and apartment style living options. Additionally, students have the opportunity to live in university-sponsored housing located on campus and off campus. Off campus university-sponsored housing can be found throughout Ottawa including downtown loft options or within a block of campus! Each housing unit maintains a resident assistant or director who oversees the students who live there.

⭐ Classroom Space

The classroom spaces at Ottawa University are equipped with Smart technology allowing professors to provide interactive and engaging instruction to their students.

⭐ Campus President Suite

The Campus President Suite houses Dr. Reggies Wenyika, President of Ottawa University (KS), as well as the Academic Dean.

Dr. Wenyika's door is always open and he encourages students and visitors to stop by to have a chat!
