With more than 150 years of demonstrated excellence, Cornell Engineering develops future-ready engineers who apply a range of perspectives to solve complex problems. Students receive a high-caliber, interdisciplinary engineering education alongside the broader Cornell academic experience.

Cornell Engineering offers numerous experiential learning opportunities, including undergraduate research and more than 30 Student Project Teams. Whether building competitive electric racing vehicles or inventing new biomedical devices, teams are comprised of, and led by, undergraduate students earning academic credit and real-world engineering experience.

The Engineering Leadership Program equips students to manage the people side of technology so that they can be highly effective in any field. Cornell Engineering aims to have every student earn a leadership credential from the program, enabling them to be capable, confident and collaborative team members and leaders.

⭐ Undergraduate Research across Cornell

All Cornell students, regardless of major, can participate in research opportunities with renowned faculty. Each year, thousands of Cornell undergraduates engage in fieldwork or faculty-led laboratory-based projects, earning academic credit, building relationships and contributing to scholarship that benefits people around the globe. Students also find support through student-led groups like the Cornell Undergraduate Research Board, which hosts academic symposia and colloquia as well as peer-mentoring opportunities.
