⭐ Choosing a Major
As you choose a college, one of the biggest questions you might have is what to study. At Colorado State, you can choose from nearly 300 academic programs, including more than 70 majors with 140 concentrations, 80 minors, and pre-professional advising. That means you’ll have the ability to create a truly unique academic path that’s designed around your goals — no matter what they are.
Majors
A major is the degree you will earn at graduation, while a concentration focuses on a specific field of study related to a major. Not every major has a concentration.
Minors
A minor is a great way to expand your studies into an additional academic program that may or may not be related to your major.
Pre-Professional Advising
Pre-professional advising tracks are not majors, but instead provide guidance for students intending to pursue a specific profession or educational goal.

Honors Program
The goal of the Honors Program is to provide an enriched educational program of study for academically talented and motivated students at Colorado State University.
Honors students benefit from small, discussion-based seminars taught by some of the University's finest faculty members, personalized academic advising, priority enrollment, opportunities for leadership, research and community service, and special scholarships.

⭐ Experiential Learning
All CSU students will have experiential learning opportunities where they take knowledge from lectures and the classroom and apply it in real-world situations! These interactive projects allow students to apply their knowledge in things like labs, field study, research, portfolio management, and more.
CSU Straayer Center
Political science students can intern for the Colorado General Assembly through CSU's Straayer Center. Graduates from this program, which takes place in the spring, learn skills that have helped launch them into careers in elected and administrative positions in municipal, state, and federal organizations!
Anatomy and Cadaver Lab
Pre-med and other biomedical science focused students have the opportunity to experience hands on dissection in our large cadaver lab. Undergraduates have the rare chance to participate in this type of lab, and CSU boasts as low as 4-1 student to cadaver ratio.
⭐ Classroom Experience Basics
Academics lie at the very core of CSU’s mission. Students’ typical experience will be in lower level classes of about 56 students, moving to class sizes of about 39 students in upper division courses. A number of resources are available to students, including a writing center, access to professors in office hours, and teaching assistants in select classes.
