George and Sakaye Aratani Japanese Garden

If you are looking for a tranquil spot to relax on campus, this is it! Students find the Japanese Garden to be a slice of paradise in the middle of campus. Opened in 2003, the garden features traditional Japanese flora, a large reflection pond, a cascading waterfall, overlooking bridges, and intricate walkways. It was designed by our very own landscape architecture professor, Takeo Uesugi.
