College of Letters, Arts, and Social Sciences (CLASS)

As a student in CLASS, you will have the opportunity to explore and interpret the human experience and collaborate with faculty and fellow peers on research initiatives.

CLASS offers a wide range of undergraduate majors in the performing arts, humanities and social sciences – from communication, economics, languages and history to psychology, music, geography, theatre and more!

Depending on your interests, you can:
• Visit lawmakers in Sacramento and advocate on issues like housing insecurity or immigration
• Break the news as a reporter for the Poly Post, CPP’s independent, student-run newspaper
• Perform your original songs accompanied by producers, musicians and vocalists
• Participate in community-based action research projects that address the climate crisis
• Take a judicial internship to observe court sessions at the LA Superior Courthouse and meet with judges and lawyers
• Conduct fieldwork in our diverse surrounding habitats, geology and geography, including at the CSU Desert Studies Center
• Run the audio, lighting and/or stage for a theatrical production
• Represent a nation and its interests at the Model United Nations
• And more!
