Located in the heart of campus, and only a block from the Foggy Bottom - GWU Metro Station, District House offers modern units, many with a sweeping view that extends south over Kogan Plaza all the way to the Washington Monument. District House opened in the fall of 2016 incorporating the facade of three former halls into what is now GW's second largest residence hall.
Dining facilities and restaurants are located in the basement level of the building. There are four different options: True Burger, Halal Shack, DC Taco, and Baba's Pizza. Use a meal swipe as part of our meal plans for a meal and a drink from any of these options! Also in District House is The Store, a student-run food pantry that provides resources and support for students living with food insecurity. The new District Market serves as a convenient stop for all of the college essentials, from snacks to toiletries.
A hub desk in the lobby is able to provide evening resources, supplies, and a contact point for residents. There are presentation spaces available for students to reserve and host events for their organizations as well as a dance studio.
