⭐ Student Union
Student Union
Currently under construction, the new Union is set for completion by Spring 2022. Our new union will feature a 25,000 square-foot Campus Store, dining options, study and leisure areas, flexible meeting rooms, and space for student organizations. Students will have access to a Bowling and Pool Hall, and Club Downunder, a small student-run venue that hosts free concerts and performances.
Our Union hosts the engaging events and programming that FSU students have become accustomed to. One favorite is Market Wednesday, an event featuring registered student organizations, local vendors. As part of our Division of Student Affairs, the Union hosts several annual events for students, including Welcome Week, Homecoming, and Family Weekend.
The Askew Student Life Cinema is located in the state-of-the-art Albert J. Dunlap Success Center, one of the nation's leading campus movie programs. The Cinema offers six or seven weekly showings, and students can see free movies with their FSU ID.
The Florida State University’s Flying High Circus is one of only two collegiate circuses in the nation, the other of which is located at Illinois State University. One of the oldest traditions on our campus, students have been walking the tightrope since 1947, when then-President Doak Campbell founded it as the first co-educational activity at the new Florida State University. Today, the circus shows are run by over 200 students who serve as performers, producers, designers, and technicians.

Student Involvement
Florida State encourages all students to get involved in and outside the classroom, as finding a home within the campus community is one of the most important things for incoming students. At the start of every semester, the Involvement Fair showcases hundreds of clubs that range from recreational activities, such as skydiving, to more academic organizations such as the Collegiate Entrepreneurs Organization. We also have multiple Student Government agencies including the Black Student Union, Women’s Student Union, Pride Student Union, and Asian American Student Union, among others.
FSU offers professional fraternities associated with most academic departments; major-oriented clubs and organizations; and social fraternities and sororities, which include faith-based and multicultural organizations. For those who are interested in continuing to practice their faith while at college, FSU also offers over 40 campus religious and spiritual organizations.
By investing time in student organizations, students are able to leave a lasting impact on the FSU community.

⭐ Union Productions & Club Downunder
Union Productions is FSU’s student-run programming board. Our former on-campus venue, Club Downunder, was one of the most respected in the nation, and as we go through renovations we will be hosting concerts, comedians, special events, and more on campus and around Tallahassee. Over fifty students oversee every aspect of the organization: from planning and producing events and marketing and promotions, to sound production and hospitality. This means that everything that goes into making Union Productions’ events fantastic—from booking performers, to setting up dressing rooms, to coordinating audio-visual requests, to advertising lineups—is all orchestrated by a dedicated group of FSU undergraduates. Club Downunder will be reopening in the new FSU Student Union.
