JBS Global Food Innovation Center

This facility includes a complete livestock and meat processing center, spans the meant-animal harvesting process, has a fully equipped livestock arena, and has Temple Grandin-designed holding and harvesting areas. Also included are a research and development center and sensory analysis room, an auditorium lecture hall and meat demonstration classroom, and a retail meat and dairy store and café). Ram Country Meats uses the GFIC to educate students about meat production. All proceeds go back into the Meat Processing Facility, and they are student run and operated.

Ram Country Meats is student run and operated and provides students with hand-on experience in the retail meat industry. Students learn how to properly identify and process cuts of meat and how to ensure that meat is delivered to customers in a clean and safe manner.
