The Exercise Science program prepares students for employment in the health/fitness industry such as commercial & corporate wellness, strength and conditioning, and cardiac rehabilitation. It is also a great preparation for entry into a graduate program or professional health care degree program such as Athletic Training, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physician Assistant, and Chiropractic. While the Athletic Training major at Central is a graduate degree, we offer an undergraduate pathway to earn a BS in Exercise Science and an MS in Athletic Training in 5 years (3+2 program).

We offer undergraduate programs in Dance Education, and Exercise Science. For students seeking to become Physical Education teachers, we offer an undergraduate degree program and a graduate certificate program. Students who successfully complete these programs are eligible for teacher certification by the State of Connecticut.
