Abrams Hall is the central hub for business operations and the Office of the Chancellor. So don't be surprised to see Dr. Paul Coreil visiting with students in the lobby! In addition, students and visitors can seek assistance and services at Abrams Hall from the Admissions and Recruiting Office, the Bursar's Office, the Financial Aid Office, and the Office of the Registrar.

✅ LSUA Admissions Requirements - Test Optional!
Students looking to apply to LSU of Alexandria no longer have to submit a standardized test score (ACT/SAT) for admissions. As a selective-admissions institution, LSUA offers multiple pathways to allow students the opportunity to become an LSUA General. Applicants will be considered for test-optional admissions based on the following criteria:
- Academic Transcript Evaluation – Students with a minimum of a 2.5 Overall High School GPA and completion of the Louisiana TOPS University Curriculum.
- Academic Transcript Evaluation – Students with a minimum of a 3.0 Overall High School GPA and completion of the Louisiana Jumpstart Curriculum.
- Dual Credit completion – Students who have completed 12 dual enrollment credits and have a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
- Students who do not have the criteria above will need to submit an official test score (ACT, SAT, or Accuplacer) to assist in their admissions review.

Students interested in LSUA should submit an online application via their website. Once you apply to LSUA, you are assigned an Admissions Counselor who will work with you throughout the admissions process. Your counselor will determine what documentation is needed to complete your file and will be your point of contact throughout the year.

The staff of the LSUA financial aid office is committed to processing a variety of student financial assistance for students through strict adherence to the many federal, state, and institutional policies that govern the individual funds.
The office understands that many students require the assistance of the various financial aid programs to cover the costs associated with enrolling, and they strive to process students’ information in the timeliest manner possible.
Students can assist this process by taking responsibility to honestly and fully complete the required paperwork in a timely manner, and if requested provide appropriate documentation to support any information provided, or as requested.

There are four types of Financial Aid: Grants, Scholarships, Work Study, and Loans.

2) Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). This is a federal application that will qualify you for any grants, loans, or other financial benefits.
Apply on the website be sure to include LSUA's school code: 002011. If you need assistance completing the FAFSA, please contact the Financial Aid Office at 318-473-6423 for an appointment.

Designed exclusively for freshmen with less than 30 credit hours, LSUA 1001: Seminar for Academic Success is a graded course that helps new students connect to their campus and community through activities, community service, and engaging lectures that help you become a successful college student. On average, students that complete this course have higher GPAs, are more successful in subsequent courses, and find that it eases the transition from high school to university life.
The office also houses New Student Orientation, Parent & Family Orientation, Student Ambassador Program, and innovative FYE programming.

Under the College of Health and Human Services, you will find the Department of Allied Health that offers courses leading to Associates degrees in Clinical Laboratory Science and Radiologic Technology, and Certificates in Pharmacy Technology.
