About
Berea College, a private liberal arts college is home to 1,600 students. Based on the motto "God has made of one blood, all peoples of the earth," we welcome all students to our beautiful campus regardless of race, color, or creed. Since our founding in 1855, we have been committed to interracial and co-education, and to the Appalachian region. In order to serve students with great promise but limited means, we award every admitted student with our No-Tuition Promise.
