Benson Hall, which dates to the 19th century, is one of Vanderbilt’s oldest buildings. Now housing the English and History Departments, Benson is the only campus building that predates the university itself.

Students choose from more than 600 courses across the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, and select a field of study from among more than 60 distinct majors and minors.
