The University of South Carolina is one of the few schools in the nation to have Army, Navy and Air Force ROTC programs. These programs prepare students to be both leaders and life-long learners.

Army

Ambition meets opportunity in the Gamecock Battalion. Our academically diverse program and rigorous training opportunities prepare students to prepare for a commission in the U.S. Army or a dynamic civilian career. Learn more about Army ROTC.

Navy

The Gamecock Battalion consists of motivated men and women who seek to serve their country as officers in the United States Navy or Marine Corps, with a rich history of dedicated service to country and community. The Gamecock Battalion has established a national reputation for excellence by instilling confidence, integrity, loyalty, and esprit de corps in the civilian and military communities. Air Force

The motto of AFROTC Detachment 775 is Higher, Faster, Farther. We live this pursuit of excellence each day across academic, physical, and military training. Our detachment has been named Best Detachment in AFROTC twice since 2015. Learn more about the Air Force ROTC.
