📚 David C. Frederick Honors College
The University of Pittsburgh is home to the distinguished David C. Frederick Honors College. The mission of the Frederick Honors College is to meet the academic and extracurricular needs of the University’s most academically talented, intellectually curious, and socially conscious undergraduate students. The Frederick Honors College provides academic challenges, inspires individual effort, encourages self-discovery, and fosters a nurturing community. In order to graduate with the official David C. Frederick Honors College designation, each admitted student must complete a certain amount of programming with the Honors College. This may include taking honors courses, completing a research project, and engaging in co-curricular programs. It is also important to note that many Honors College programs are open to the entire University population. For example, all students are allowed to apply for honors research fellowships and to enroll in honors courses, even if they are not official members.
