Jewish Life

⭐ Jewish Life

There is a thriving Jewish life on campus, facilitated by both the Center for Jewish Life (Princeton's Hillel) and Chabad.

Chabad

Chabad at Princeton University, located just off campus at 15 Edwards Place, is another thriving space to explore and experience Judaism. It has many programs, including weekly Shabbat and Late Meal, Jewish text study, and large events for Purim and Reunions.

Kosher Dining Hall

One of the more unique aspects of Jewish life at Princeton is the kosher dining hall, housed in the Center for Jewish Life and supervised by the Orthodox Union, that is open to the entire campus community. Since it is part of Campus Dining, the CJL dining hall is one of five dining halls that students on the meal plan can choose to eat at during any given meal.

Princeton Hillel (Center for Jewish Life)

The Center for Jewish Life (CJL) embraces all Jewish students, amplifying connections to Jewish meaning, experience, and community. Located on Washington Road, the CJL contains the University’s kosher dining hall; two multifunctional auditoriums used for prayer services, classes, lectures, and other events; library; Beit Midrash (house of learning); meeting lounge; TV lounge; kitchenette; and offices. It is home to a wide array of social and educational programs organized by the professional staff and several student organizations, and has many fun events and Shabbat dinners attended by the wider campus community.
