Murals
Pitzer is home to many beautiful murals on campus! Embodying our values of Student Engagement and Social Responsibility, murals across campus have been created by students, faculty, staff, and local artists, and depict topics ranging from mental health awareness to the prison industrial complex. The Free Wall is another art space on campus that is uncensored and open to everyone at all times - think of it as an ever-changing mural.

🎨 Campus Murals
Murals cover many of Pitzer's academic and residential buildings across campus, with pieces ranging from works painted in the 1970s to some currently in progress.
Campus Aesthetics Committee
The Campus Aesthetics committee is comprised of students, faculty, and staff, and oversees the approval and implementation of all public art pieces on campus. Proposals for murals may come from individual community members, academic field groups, affinity spaces, or administrative offices. Approved murals have been completed by Pitzer community members, as well as pieces commissioned by local artists.
