Jefferson State Community College serves approximately 14,000 students each year and is one of the largest community colleges in the state of Alabama. We offer 116 university transfer programs, 39 career programs and 30 non-credit programs at our four campuses in Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Chilton counties.

Jefferson Campus Tour
Jefferson State's original campus that opened in 1965. The beautiful, wooded campus is located in northeast Birmingham.

The Shelby-Hoover Campus opened in 1993 and has grown to include a General Studies Building, Judy Merritt Health Sciences Building, and Welding Center.
The convenient location off Valleydale Road in Hoover/North Shelby County is easily accessible via Interstate 65 and U.S. 280.

Chilton-Clanton Campus Tour
The Chilton-Clanton Campus of Jefferson State Community College is housed in a 30,000-square-foot building that opened in 1998.
The campus is located off Lay Dam Road in Clanton, minutes from Interstate 65 Exit 212.

The St. Clair-Pell City Campus opened in 2006 and serves the needs of students in the easternmost part of our service area.
