The Bobby E. Leach Student Recreation Center is a 120,000 square-foot fitness facility located in the heart of campus. This facility is the largest of two fitness centers on campus.

The Leach
Bobby E. Leach Center is better known to students as The Leach. Here, students have access to an indoor track, swimming pool and spa, basketball courts, free weights, and more than 200 workout machines. The Leach also offers more than 100 free, group fitness classes per week and personal training sessions.
For students who have a competitive side, Florida State offers 38 different club sports who compete on a nationwide level that range from basketball and baseball to dance and gymnastics. FSU also has over 80 different intramural sports. Each of these sports has multiple divisions to appeal to students of all skill levels.
Finding your favorite way to move is essential to your college success. It’s more than breaking a sweat – exercise helps you sleep better, lowers stress levels, and increases focus. FSU Lakefront Park
Located four miles from the main campus, the FSU Lakefront Park is a 73-acre lakefront property along Lake Bradford. In this unique natural setting students can enjoy canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, swimming, sand volleyball, disc golf, and many other outdoor activities.
Division I Athletics
FSU athletic teams compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I level. The Seminoles have been a part of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) since the 1991-92 season. Our athletic department fields 20 teams that have collectively won 19 team National Championships and over 100 team conference championships.
Enrolled Students receive free entry into all sporting events. For most of these events, students just need to show their FSU ID for admission. However, for more popular events such as football and basketball games, students simply register online in advance in order to attend.

University Health Services (UHS)
UHS promotes and improves the overall health and well-being of FSU students. Delivering high quality medical and mental health care that is efficient, accessible, and equitable. UHS has a variety of clinics providing high quality healthcare in a comfortable, friendly environment. Physicians, nurse practitioners and physician assistants are available to treat students. Services include:

Student Resilience Project
The Student Resilience Project, developed by our College of Social Work, is a web-based, research-informed toolkit developed to encourage students’ wellness by helping them learn to manage stress in healthy ways and increase their sense of belonging. The website features videos, skill-building activities, resources, and information, including podcasts by campus experts.
Counseling and Psychological Services
Sometimes we can all use a hand in facing the challenges life presents. Counseling and Psychological Services is a welcoming and confidential place for assistance! We are enthusiastic about helping our students with all kinds of questions and concerns like homesickness; struggles with relationships; sexual identity and gender questions; cultural issues; eating and body image; substance use; and worries and depression. Our licensed and professionally trained staff offer counseling services to those currently enrolled at FSU.
