⭐ John S. and Gail Robbins Center for Academic Excellence and Innovation
The John and Gail Robbins Center for Academic Excellence and Innovation is a creative common ground for students to collaborate on projects and utilize technology to convey messages in new and innovative ways. Usually bustling with brainstorming and creativity, the space features student-run initiatives that enhance the academic experience, such as peer tutoring and a VR zone. The Digital Design Studio offers Mac and PC computers loaded with creative software, photo and video equipment, large-scale printers and a full lineup of student-led courses on how to utilize specific technology.
🥼 Civil and Environmental Engineering Soils lab
All engineering programs, from computer and electrical engineering to mechanical engineering, require research or a capstone project before graduation. Working alongside industry professionals, students use their classroom experience to solve real-world problems for the military, government or private businesses.
The Holley Academic Center houses several engineering laboratories, such as this soils lab used by civil & environmental engineering students. In this space, students study different types of soils and their mechanics, analyzing their responses to various types of stress during construction.

📚 Dr. and Mrs. James T. Cook Library & Learning Center
Overlooking North Bay, the Library and Learning Center, also known as the LLC, offers patrons a quieter environment ideal for in-depth research and learning. The space is equipped with computer labs, quiet study rooms, a study loft and student printers. In addition to its own in-house collection of books and reference materials, it offers an online catalogue of millions of digital reference tools and access to books or journal articles available through express delivery from any FSU Tallahassee library.
