Susi First-Year Engineering Experience, engineering students can explore different engineering fields and complete team-based projects, starting in their first semester.
2. Sears think[box] is seven stories of innovation, the largest open-access makerspace at any university in the country. think[box] is where future engineers create, design, ideate, prototype and even start businesses around their ideas.
3. CWRU co-op students earn an average of $18,000 for two semesters’ work. 99% of our engineering students take part in at least one hands-on activity; two-thirds take part in two or more.
4. 95% of CWRU engineering graduates are working full-time, in graduate school or otherwise pursuing their goals within six months of graduation. For those starting their careers, the median starting salary range is $65k to $70k.

For most future engineers, the thrill of engineering is in the creating, the tweaking the testing (and re-testing). At Case Western Reserve University, you can get moving as an engineer as early as day one.
Our Roger E. Susi First-Year Engineering Experience brings first-year engineering students into a lab environment in your first two semesters. The first semester consists of six hands-on, discipline specific projects, with a focus on general skill building, computer programming and friendly competitions. In the second semester, students team up with a community partner to contribute to solutions for real-life engineering problems in their community.
