The Nave and Presentation Space

The center of the CCA experience is the Nave, a 350-foot atrium space that runs through our main building. At any given time walking through the Nave, you’ll see critiques and classes taking place and pop-up exhibitions on display.

Space for exploration

▪️ Fluid creativity

At CCA, paths cross between students, faculty, and a range of visiting artists, scholars, entrepreneurs, and others. The Nave is the place for these connections to happen, whether en route to class, attending critiques with guest reviewers, transporting materials to the shop, or pinning up work.

Installation and exhibition space

The Exhibitions and Public Programming team makes exhibitions happen in spaces across campus, including large-scale installations, thesis shows, and other presentations.

▪️ Theory and practice

We spend as much time in critical discourse as we do in the 60 studios, labs, and workshops. In this creative environment, you’ll make the most of your investment with expert guidance, professional connections, peer collaborations, and hands-on experiences.

▪️ Space for exploration

The Nave Presentation Space is a light-filled multi-purpose room. Our students and faculty use it for social events, workshops, exhibitions, performances, and year-end reviews. Design Strategy MBA students host their annual Venture Show here, and the Graduate Architecture programs use this space for workshops, such as on algorithmically-generated drawings.
