ASU's fraternity and sorority members come from every imaginable background, but are united in continuous pursuit of our shared values. Our more than 70 Greek-lettered organizations continue to move forward as the largest membership based, multi-faceted community on campus. With five councils, including the Multicultural Greek Council, the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations Council, and the National Pan-Hellenic Council you can find the greek experience to help you Learn & Grow, Build Relationships, Give Back, and Do the Right Thing.
Divine 9
The National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), also known as the “Divine Nine” is the coordinating body for the historically African-American fraternities and sororities at Arizona State University. Originally formed in 1930 at Howard University, the purpose of the NPHC is "unanimity of thought and action as far as possible in the conduct of Greek-letter collegiate fraternities and sororities, and to consider problems of mutual interest to its member organizations." NPHC honors the historical spirit of community service, cooperation, cultural consciousness, scholarship, servant leadership and unity.
Plots
A powerful symbol of the service and legacy of ASU’s Black Greek letter organizations was installed in February 2021 at the Greek Leadership Community Center: nine plots representing Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity, Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority, Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity, Omega Psi Phi fraternity, Delta Sigma Theta sorority, Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, Zeta Phi Beta sorority, Sigma Gamma Rho sorority and Iota Phi Theta fraternity.
