🌆 Boston Recommendations
🌺 Boston Public Garden - A beautiful public garden in downtown Boston, complete with picturesque bridges, swan boats, and the famous duckling statue.
🏛️ Freedom Trail - A walking path that charts United States history and includes Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere’s House, the Old North Church, and the USS Constitution.
🖼️ Museum of Fine Art - Boston’s world-class fine art museum, with rotating exhibitions and collections that span ancient to contemporary art and include works from Africa and Oceania, Asia, the Americas, Ancient Greece and Rome, Ancient Egypt, Nubia and the Near East, and Europe. Wellesley students get free admission.
💃 Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum - A quirky art museum in the former mansion of aristocrat, philanthropist, and art collector Isabella Stewart Gardner. It’s perhaps most famous for its mysterious (and still unsolved!) art heist. Wellesley students (and anyone named Isabella!) get free admission.
⚾ Fenway Park - The oldest baseball stadium in the country and home to the Boston Red Sox. The Fenway neighborhood is easily accessible by public transit and features a wide range of shops and restaurants.
🎐 Institute of Contemporary Art - The ICAʼs collection offers a diverse array of national and international artworks. Particularly popular (and only accessible via ferry), the Watershed is a free warehouse-turned-gallery space that hosts immersive exhibitions. The ICA is located in the up-and-coming Seaport district which boasts a variety of shops and restaurants as well as great views of Boston Harbor.
🍝 North End - Full of quintessential cobblestone streets and beautiful historic buildings, the North End is also home to some of the best Italian restaurants and bakeries in the city. (Tip: If you follow the Freedom Trail from downtown Boston, you’ll wander your way through the North End.)
