Located in the center of campus between buildings 2, 8 and 9, the Peace Plaza has become a place for personal reflection and tradition. As we stand here between Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr. and a functional monument called Thoreau’s Table, it is a good time to talk about our values. The University of North Florida is committed to values that promote the welfare and positive transformation of individuals, communities, and societies. We value:
- Diversity
- Ethical conduct
- Community engagement
- Mutual respect and civility
- Responsibility to the natural environment, and
- The pursuit of truth and knowledge carried out in the spirit of intellectual and artistic freedom
