Cavalry Hall (BCAVL)
Cavalry Hall is known for being one of the historic buildings on the Brownsville campus. In 1846 it was home to a military post known as Fort Brown. Cavalry Hall now houses different offices on the Brownsville UTRGV Campus: The Dean of Students Office, Military and Veterans Success Center, Student Rights and Responsibilities, and the Student Pantry.

The Student Food Pantry's assists students in need at UTRGV by providing food supplements to those who have been impacted by financial problems/conditions and subsequently are experiencing difficulty meeting their basic need of adequate nutrition.
To receive assistance, all orders must be placed online. Orders placed before Monday at 5 pm can be picked up on Tuesday from 2 pm to 5 pm. Orders placed before Thursday at 5 pm can be picked up on Friday from 1 pm to 4 pm. No walk-in times are available.

The Military and Veterans Success Center assists students in certifying education benefits, advocating for services, developing projects to unite the university with our local community, providing counseling services specifically for veterans, and promoting student involvement through the Student Veterans of America National Organization. UTRGV is proud to assist those who have served our country and are committed to helping military students and their military families start or continue their education.
