Kilpatrick was dedicated in 1977 and named after William Heard Kilpatrick (1871-1965), one of the nation's leading exponents of the ideas of Pestalozzi and John Dewey. This facility houses the John H. Lounsbury School of Education.
University Programs
The STEM Initiative at Georgia College & State University responds to the dire need for graduates in STEM-related professions by providing capacity-building activities that promote the development of a strong curriculum and instruction in STEM fields. Community Programs
The focus of the 'STEMing into the Community' program is to share STEM with the community via science demonstrations and a hands-on STEM Marketplace staged at a variety of venues including schools, community centers, churches, libraries, and museums, among others. Each program is tailored to the needs of the individuals requesting a presentation. The presentations are designed to be informative and to provide positive role models of individuals who are interested in and enthusiastic about STEM. Read more about our community programs.
