⭐ Economics & Business Administration
The Economics & Business Administration department is home to approximately 25 percent of all students who have declared majors.
We believe that our students get the best of both worlds: the benefit of a challenging liberal arts education and the opportunity to earn a degree in a field that makes them attractive to employers and graduate programs or prepares them to start their own businesses.

Accounting
You build liberal arts and accounting skills when you major in business administration with a concentration in accounting. After you meet your liberal arts requirements in your first two years, you'll focus more on accounting and other business courses, including your choice of management, business law or statistics. And you will be part of an accounting program with graduates who have found a high level of success.
Economics
You likely will choose an economics major if you are strong in math and analytical skills and have a strong interest in government, business, technology and finance. With this degree, you may choose to pursue graduate education or a career right after college.
The professors in the Department of Economics and Business Administration at PC can prepare you for whichever path you decide to take. As a foundation for your economics major, you’ll take liberal arts courses to build critical thinking and satisfy general education requirements.

Data Analytics
Ever wondered how companies like Netflix, Google, and Instagram seem to know your interests better than your best friends? Their ability to recognize your likes and dislikes and shape your experience using their products isn’t some coincidence; it’s the result of big data and machine learning. But in order for Netflix or Instagram to provide you with a recommendation, they must make sense of the massive amounts of data they collect. They need the help of data analysts.
Throughout the program, you will learn…
- to think creatively
- to manage data and apply statistical tools
- to data mine
- to use machine-learning techniques to solve real-world problems
- to provide context to big data so that sound decisions can be rendered
After four years of study, you will possess the ability to process large amounts of data, to see past the numbers and detect trends, and to provide context to big data so that sound decisions can be rendered.
