At Otterbein, you will be immersed in experiential learning, creating theatre while working closely with our experienced artist-teachers and guest professionals. You will learn the techniques of your discipline, the art of our collaborative endeavor, and build the critical networking and professional skills needed for a career in the professional theatre.

⭐ Building Highlights at Cowan Hall

Fritsche Theatre

The Fritsche Theatre at Cowan Hall is a 1,047-seat proscenium house, renovated in 2005 with new seats, lighting positions and improved acoustics have significantly enhanced this facility. In 2016 and 2017, further renovations to the electrical and rigging system were completed. Musicals, plays and the annual dance concert are held here, as are orchestra concerts, lectures, and convocations.
