🏫 Dedman College of Hospitality

The Dedman College of Hospitality(https://dedman.fsu.edu/) faculty and staff work with industry leaders and alumni to provide its students with a valuable education, one-of-a-kind internships, and opportunities to network or mentor. Our graduates leave FSU with the preparation needed to fill a growing global demand throughout the industry. The Dedman College of Hospitality is ranked No. 14 in the world and No. 7 in the U.S. by the Academic Ranking of World Universities for 2021.

A required internship program encourages experiential learning as a complementary approach to classroom education. In addition to established internships throughout the U.S., the college offers internships with world-class operations in countries ranging from Ireland to Australia. Students are encouraged to enrich their education with its Summer Study Abroad Program in Leysin, Switzerland.

Networking and leadership opportunities are available through student organizations — Club Managers Association of America, Eta Sigma Delta, Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, PGA Professional Golf Management Club — and a wide variety of college events. Dedman's unique curriculum parallels the requirements for membership in Florida State's Garnet & Gold Scholar Society. Generous scholarships support Dedman students along the way.

Dedman College of Hospitality faculty members have extensive practical industry experience, and national and international reputations as outstanding teachers and researchers. Their research is enhanced through the International Center for Hospitality Research, led by award-winning international researcher Dr. Woody Kim.

Faculty members have received numerous teaching awards and are committed to preparing students for successful careers through classroom instruction, one-on-one advising, career and internship placement, facilitating alumni contacts, organizing college events, and providing information on financial assistance.
