Located in the Stone building, the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences has provided education to the best and the brightest for well over a century.

College of Education, Health and Human Sciences
The College of Health and Human Sciences addresses global challenges and opportunities related to the physical, behavioral, and economic factors influencing the health and development of individuals, families, and communities. The roots of FSU’s College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences date back to the university’s establishment, and it is the oldest college of its kind in Florida. Recently expanded in 2023, the College is home to six academic departments united through a common goal to maximize human potential. In total, the College includes the Department of Educational Leadership & Policy Studies, Department of Educational Psychology & Learning Systems, Department of Human Development & Family Sciences, Department of Nutrition & Integrative Physiology, Department of Sport Management, School of Teacher Education, numerous research centers, and three laboratory schools (Florida State University School, FSU Pembroke Pines Charter School, and The Collegiate School at FSU Panama City). The College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences serves over 4,500 students via 187 full-time faculty and 73 full-time staff.

School of Teacher Education
As part of the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences the School of Teacher Education offers a unique combination of global-class academics and a close-knit, student-focused community for an exclusive educational experience.
As a student in the School of Teacher Education, you have direct access to some of the best minds in the education field. Department of Sport Management
The Department of Sport Management at Florida State University prepares students to work in the diverse sport industry, related service organizations, and academic institutions. For those who are interested in professional sports, college or high school sports, working with elite amateur athletes, managing sport in community programs, working in the corporate sector, sport for development, or other settings, acquiring the proper knowledge and developing the critical skills and abilities is essential.
The department’s three-degree programs – doctoral, master's, and bachelor's – are based on four thematic pillar areas, which also provide the broad context from which our research and course offerings are derived:
• Legal & Policy Issues in Sport
• Sport Economics/Finance
• Sport Marketing
• Sport Media & Culture Studies

Department of Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences
The Department of Health, Nutrition, and Food Sciences consists of four innovative programs that analyze physical performance, health, and wellness through a foundation in scientific research, technical knowledge and practical skill-building. Today’s growing attentiveness to healthy lifestyle habits has generated a greater demand for careers in these fields. The department offers bachelor’s degree programs in these areas:
• Athletic Training
• Dietetics
• Exercise Physiology
• Food and Nutrition

Department of Human Development and Family Science
Human Development and Family Science is more than working with people. We offer programs of study for both undergraduate and graduate students that address the needs of children, youth, adults, and families across the lifespan, with special attention to those in complicated families. The department offers a bachelor’s degree in Human Development & Family Science.
