⭐ Center for Global Engagement

The Center for Global Engagement (CGE) provides orientation, immigration advising, and ongoing support to over 2,500 international students and family members as well as over 300 international scholars and faculty. Their goal is to promote interaction among students of all cultures and help develop a culturally enriching learning environment throughout the FSU community.

CGE offers workshops and training opportunities for building effective intercultural communication skills, as well as campus-wide cultural celebrations and festivals.  One of the most popular social events is International Coffee Hour, which is held on Friday evenings while classes are in session. Many of their educational programs for students are aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of various global issues and developing intercultural knowledge, skills, and capacities. From an intercultural dialogue series to cultural presentations, international and U.S. students are involved in a variety of ongoing, co-curricular learning opportunities.
