⭐ Barnes and Noble

The Barnes and Noble within the Oxford Road Building has three floors. The top floor is where you can purchase your Emory swag. They have t-shirts, sweatshirts, mugs, and basically anything you can put an Emory logo on. Right below that—on the second floor—is the textbook bookstore, where students can purchase textbooks for their courses. Emory offers price matching, which allows for students to get the best deal on their textbooks. On the bottom floor, there is a classic Barnes and Noble bookstore that sells novels, cookbooks, Lego sets, and more.

After the first two years, students can choose to declare a major at Emory College of Arts and Sciences, Nell Hodgson Woodruff School of Nursing, or Goizueta Business School. The majority of undergraduates pursue a degree at Emory College, including those from Oxford College, who join the Atlanta campus in their junior year.

Emory College of Arts and Sciences

Students in the School of Nursing can start taking elective courses as early as their first year, and they train with more than 500 clinical partners.

Roberto C. Goizueta Business School

Named after the former CEO of The Coca-Cola Company, Roberto C. Goizueta, the Goizueta Business School offers a bachelor of business administration (BBA). The BBA program aims to develop students intellectually, personally, and professionally, enabling them to contribute positively to organizations and society. Along with foundational business knowledge, students also acquire critical thinking, decision-making, and data analytical skills and learn to use technology effectively. The program offers hands-on opportunities to work with Fortune 500 companies, solve corporate problems with data analytics, manage equity securities, create a start-up, and interact with global leaders.

⭐ Emory University History

Emory College, founded in 1836 in Oxford, Georgia, by the Methodist Episcopal Church, was named in honor of Bishop John Emory. In 1915, Emory College relocated to Druid Hills and was rechartered as Emory University after accepting a land grant from Asa Griggs Candler, founder of The Coca-Cola Company and brother of commissioned chair Warren Akin Candler. Today, Oxford College is still part of Emory University, where some students may choose to complete the first two years of their bachelor's degree before continuing their education on the Atlanta campus.
