The Center for the Arts features a 495-seat auditorium, a climate controlled art gallery, a recital hall with seating for 150, a large scenery shop, and a costume design shop.
Campus Performances
In addition to student shows, Cottey welcomes numerous performers on campus every year. The Student Activities Committee plans, promotes, and produces events featuring nationally recognized bands, comedians, coffeehouse singers, and novelty entertainers, such as jugglers and magicians. Students are admitted free to all college-sponsored performances.
Artistic Inclusivity
All students, regardless of major, may audition and participate in theatrical performances. Cottey loves to support its students in their creative endeavors and artistic dreams. Providing outlets for artistic expression is an important part of a liberal arts education.
